Father’s Favorite Salsa Movie LLC is a single-purpose entity formed to finance and produce FUEGO. It was named in honor of the producer’s late father, whose favorite salsa movie was Dance With Me. Though the film was more about the ballroom dancing world, the salsa energy and cultural flavor in that film filled Edwin's father with joy. That film became a rare source of celebration and connection. In all the years since, Edwin hasn’t seen a film that captured that same spirit of salsa—FUEGO was created to finally bring that feeling back to the screen with his music video and dance background.

Rather than follow industry trends or darker dramatic tones, Edwin set out to create the kind of film his father would have loved—one that celebrates music, movement, identity, and emotional connection. The name of the company is a promise to honor that vision and serve audiences who have long been underrepresented on screen. If Edwin's father were alive today, this would have been his favorite salsa movie.
